Here we have love interests looking like a young 2000s Hrithik bumping into you in yet another pristine white kurta because #DESISWAG I don’t even bump into my colleague at work purposely twice in the same day. It’s only been around 11 minutes into the movie and Sonia and Amit ( Hrithik) who is poor BTW, have already met 2 times coincidentally and started celebrating Sonia’s birthday together. Clearly, we all sleep in coordinated, white pajama sets everyday.
Like this scene here, where it’s Sonia’s birthday. The only fabrics used are silk and satins because apparently the middle class are not that sophisticated. Right from the beginning, Sonia (Ameesha) is dressed in a way that everyone understands that she’s basically rich. So naturally, I had to spend 3.4 hours of my life scrutinizing it because clearly, what else is there to do on a Monday night these days, anyway? The movie might be running on just problematic plot lines,but just as cringey are the clothes the characters are seen in. It’s 20 years later and re-watching the same Rakesh Roshan film has given me a new lease on life-accepting just how stupid we all were at a point. There’s a couple, who’ve seemingly wandered off from a big yacht, are dancing on a random island which clearly isn’t the most human-friendly, and are surviving on romance-yet none of this matters because you’re in 2000.įast forward to today. You’ve already bought the tickets and the movie seems magical to the 7-year-old you. Hrithik Roshan and Ameesha Patel are making their debut with Kaho Na.Pyaar Hai.
